Black Entrepreneurs Day Health & Safety Policy:
All Talent, Staff, Vendors, Partners, and Patrons of Black Entrepreneurs Day will be required to have received a COVID-19 vaccination in order to attend, perform, or work at Black Entrepreneurs Day 2021.
These measures were developed in conjunction with the City of New York and the Apollo Theater to provide a safe environment for all attendees and participants. We appreciate your cooperation and look forward to a safe and successful Black Entrepreneurs Day!
- Everyone must be vaccinated to enter the building. This includes Talent, Staff, Vendors, Partners, and Patrons
- Everyone must show a completed vaccination record (dated at least 14 days before the show). Proof of vaccination can be displayed on your smartphone; however, a physical copy is preferred. The Apollo encourages the use of the New York State Excelsior Pass (http://epass.ny.gov), which provides a secure digital proof of vaccination for New York state residents. Downloading the app in advance and registering on the app prior to your visit will create a smoother entry process into the theater.
- All attendees must present a government-issued picture ID prior to entry (passport or driver’s license). This ID must match the name on your proof of vaccination.
- Children under the age of 12 are to be accompanied by vaccinated adults and proof of negative test in the last 72 hours will be required. Additionally, children under 12 are required to wear a mask at all times while in the building, except while actively eating or drinking.
- All attendees are required to wear masks inside the theater, except while actively eating or drinking. Talent does not need to wear a mask while on stage or when performing.
Enhanced Health and Safety Measures
Based on guidance from public health authorities such as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and appropriate government agencies, the Apollo has implemented the following policies and procedures to provide a safe environment for our audiences, artists, and staff:
